In March 2014, Wadi Degla signed a protocol to support FACE foundation in its mission to assist and protect orphans, street children, their families and communities in Egypt. Wadi Degla’s support has had a remarkable effect on all FACE’s activities over the last year. Including but not limited to; enabling FACE to Increase the scope of childcare, nutritional meals, education, staff recruitment as well as supporting the move to a new administrative office. Moreover, Wadi Degla sponsored the renovation of Obour orphanage, to enable the building to receive up to 75 children.


Wadi Degla’s support contributed the following to FACE’s activities :


-108 children stayed in the three FACE orphanages

-3,344 contacts were made with street children on the streets of Cairo

-402 children attended the day Drop-in center

-1,691 medical care sessions have been provided to babies and children

-84 children have been provided with non-formal education with the aim of integrating them into public schools

-9 orphans children have been placed into alternative care families

-12 former street children have been reintegrated in their families and 6 have found gainful employment
